On this page, you will see all types of illustrations, from graphic symbols, modular designs and logos along with some of my processes for all of them. Including a final result on some of them or placed in an environment.
Graphic Symbolism - Digital Illustration
This project was a test of my skill on visually communicating directions without words. In this case, converting a simple recipe with words and communicate it visually.
To make it look a bit more realistic, I placed this same recipe onto a package with a few other added details.
In the above images, here are just a few of my thumbnail sketches on different concepts of what I was wanting to use for my final design.
Below is my final design and the same one used for the package above.
Modular Design - Digital Illustration
In the below images, this project was meant to create animals with select shapes and placed on a grid, it was difficult to get it started, but ended up being a fun and cute project to do in class.
Can you name the animals below?
Information Design - Illustrations
In this project we were to come up with a proposal for a redesigned wayfinding sign system for our school campus and place them in existing areas or in locations where no signs were available.
In the above example is an excerpt of my Environmental Graphic Design Proposal for the Art Institute of Tampa.
In the diagram above, there are 3 viewpoints for a new directory sign I designed for placement in areas of the building where it’s needed. Below, is an example of this sign in it’s environment on the second floor hallway of the school campus.
Before
After
No directory sign leading to the hidden rooms (235, 234, 233, 232,228, 229)
New directory sign (in place) in new proposed environment, leading towards hidden hallway and the six classrooms.
As seen above, a directory sign was needed for this area of the second floor hallway. In this before and after visual, not only was there no sign in place, but I also made changes to the color and textures of the walls, flooring and lighting to include the proposed placement of the directory sign.
